FOREIGN COUNTRIES WITH WARNINGS

The State Department has removed Tajikistan from its list of countries with Warnings (don't go). The current list includes:

  • Afghanistan
  • Albania
  • Algeria
  • Angola
  • Bosnia-Herzegovina
  • Burundi
  • Central African Republic
  • Colombia
  • Iran
  • Iraq
  • Lebanon
  • Liberia
  • Libya
  • Nigeria
  • Rwanda
  • Sierra Leone
  • Somalia
  • Sudan
  • Zaire

The US Public Health Service has made no changes in its cholera, plague, and yellow-fever lists. For more information, call the hot line of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (404-332-4559) or access the Web site at http://www.cdc.gov/travel/blusheet.htm.
